Deadline for abstract submission: September 13, 2026, 23:59 CET

General information

The organizing committee of the International Winter Symposium in Intensive Care Medicine 2027 encourages the submission of abstracts with the general conditions:

  • The focus of abstracts is on clinical medicine in practice, with clinical cases or case series, novel scientific information including physiology, pathophysiology, disease assessment and treatment, which will have immediate impact on the practice at bedside. Study protocols cannot be accepted (an abstract must contain results).
  • Submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the presenting author to present the abstract in person in the session and at the time decided upon by the organizing committee. One of the co-authors can take over if needed. Registration fees for the presenting author of an abstract will not be waived. Failure to present the abstract in person, for other than duly motivated reasons, will lead to the rejection of abstract submission at the next International Winter Symposiums in Intensive Care Medicine. Online presentations are not allowed.
  • Only one abstract per first author can be submitted.
  • Already published work cannot be presented in an abstract at the International Winter Symposium in Intensive Care Medicine 2027. Work/abstracts presented in another event can also be submitted to the International Winter Symposium in Intensive Care Medicine 2027. However, abstracts submitted to a previous International Winter Symposium in Intensive Care Medicine cannot be submitted again.
  • The submitting author certifies that any work with human or animal subjects related in this abstract complies with the guiding principles for experimental procedures, as set forth in the Declaration of Helsinki and related publications.
